TIMBER BRIDGES - DESIGN AND APPROPRIATE USE OF MATERIALS

This paper presents an overview of the scope for the use of timber in bridges. The wide variety and global availability of timber as a construction resource is illustrated, together with case studies of a selection of bridges employing timber as the primary structural material. (A)
