BEST PRACTICES FOR INTERMODAL PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION DESCRIPTION, MARKET IMPACT, AND LESSONS INTERMODAL : APPENDICES

This study identifies intercity and rural intermodal passenger transportation practices in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia. Twenty five instances of Canadian, U.S., European and Australian multimodality or intermodality were reviewed as case studies. Those judged to have the greatest potential to meet commercial criteria in a Canadian context were selected, and roles and government policies for the achievement of intermodality to benefit Canada's tourism sector considered.(A) The appendices include "best practices" case studies in the above localities.
