This paper gives a short overview of the activities of the Technical Committee on Frost. The specific topics covered are: Field and laboratory methods for the determination of deformation parameters of thawing soils; the procedure of frost heave test including sampling; estimation of frost heave and thaw weakening by statistical analyses and physical models; and other related effects of frost action.
