BIOGAS SOM DRIVMEDEL I FORDON. SLUTRAPPORT FRAAN TROLLHAETTEPROJEKTET

The aim of the biogas project in Trollhaettan has been to demonstrate the possibilities of increasing the available biogas production from existing digesters at the sewer treatment plant and to use the gas as a fuel for the local public transportation fleet consisting of buses and trucks. The report summarises the experiences of one year of operating seven city buses and two garbage collecting trucks on biogas. The report includes: (1) Experiences of production and purification of biogas; (2) Experiences of distribution and filling; and (3) Experiences of vehicle operation including emission tests and availability problems. By and large the project has worked as planned and therefore the aim, as described above, has been satisfactorily fulfilled. (A)
