PROPERTIES OF THE COMPOSITE GROUND WITH SUPER-LONG SOIL - CEMENT COLUMNS
The paper focuses on researching the deformation and consolidation behavior of a composite ground with super-long soil-cement columns by finite element method. On account of the small vertical deformation and the good quality of the columns, much of the load was transformed to their tips and then to the bearing layer. Thus the theory of effective length should be modified for these columns.
