WATER AND FROST PROTECTION IN TUNNELS

VANN- OG FROSTSIKRING I TUNNELER; KONSTRUKSJONER FOR AVSKJERMING, FUNKSJONSKRAV OG DIMENSJONERINGSREGLER

This is a revised version of Handbook No. 163, issued as guidelines in 1992. Experiences from research and development projects and present practice have been considered. Also simplifications have been aimed at in order to make the book easier to use. Light structure linings require approval from the Directorate of Public Roads. This also applies to fire protection of PE-foam. Handbook No. 163 provides both functional requirements and design specifications for water and frost protective linings in road tunnels. These requirements should be viewed in connection with the general requirements regarding design specifications for road tunnels given in Handbook No. 021, as they provide further information and details.
