DEVELOPMENT OF ICEBREAKING TANKERS FOR NORTHERN WATERS AND ICEBOUND AREAS

A group of German companies have developed an icebreaking tanker for northern seas and ice covered maritime regions. The basis for the development is a large spectrum of ships between 20,000dwt to 120,000dwt. The goal is to present shipping lines and oil companies with a highly convincing proposal for commercial, safe, modern tankers complying with environmental protection criteria, which would be used for transport of oil and gas from ice covered regions.
