DYNAMIC TRAFFIC MODELING FOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNING: A TUTORIAL ON IMPLEMENTATION AND APPLICATIONS
This abstract, which appears in a compendium of conference papers, describes a tutorial on dynamic traffic models to evaluate time-varying transportation system performance for a variety of purposes. The tutorial described provides an overview of traffic flow dynamics captured by the model, and the different model formulations allowing enroute path changes, departure time choice, and mode choice.
