DEVELOPMENT OF A TRUCK TRIP TABLE FOR WESTCHESTER COUNTY
A study of truck traffic in Westchester County (New York Metropolitan area) was conducted to begin the process of building a database of goods movement information for future development purposes. To better understand the flows of commercial vehicles in the county, a trip matrix and flow diagrams were developed from available data. The resulting trip matrices are the basis for inferences regarding the nature of truck flows in the area and identification of gaps in the available data. This abstract appears in a compendium of conference papers.
