A SHIP WEIGHT DATABASE FOR THE CANADIAN PATROL FRIGATE

Due to the potential negative impacts of weight increase on the performance of a naval vessel a weight control system is critical throughout the ship design, construction and operation phases. A computer system was developed to collect ship weight data and to report it in a manner to aid in effective ship weight control. The collected data of all ship items was also used to produce a Master Equipment List and an Outfit and Furnishings List.
