FREE-FALL LIFEBOATS. A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT OVER CONVENTIONAL LIFESAVING EQUIPMENT ON BOARD SHIP
The design and development of the Type GFF free-fall lifeboat, initially with a capacity of 14 persons, although models capable of carrying up to 30 persons have been designed, is described. Both the boat and the launching track are discussed.
