MARINE OPTICAL NETWORK SYSTEM

In recent years, electronics technology has revolutionised the design of shipboard equipment and many computerised subsystems have been introduced onboard. To improve further ship handling facilities and rationalisation, an experimental optical data system is described which has the capacity of multiplex communication of voice and data channels, and has a higher communication performance through data communication protocol, based on marine system design.
