DEUTZ MEDIUM SPEED DIESEL ENGINES FOR POWER GENERATION

This report introduces the medium speed Deutz diesels and their application in power stations. The engine families described are:- i> BVM 628 with a power/cylinder of 210 kW at a speed of 100 rpm and ii> BVM 640 with a power/cylinder of 412 kW at a speed of 600 rpm. In addition to the diesel engines, gas engines of the family are also mentioned and interesting applications in power stations are demonstrated. The report focuses on those properties and features relevant to power sets and power stations.
