IMPROVEMENTS AND NOVEL DEVELOPMENTS OF LOADING TERMINALS AND FLOATING PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

This paper deals with some design examples, based on the experience and expertise gained in development, design, engineering, construction and erection of offloading terminals and floating production facilities. In discussing an articulated loading tower design for North Sea application and a CALM-tanker based buoy with yoke for South-East Asian waters some improvements in design are depicted. In addition, two novel designs for a tanker-based integrated anchor leg mooring <IALM> are described in some detail.
