A PATH FLOW ESTIMATOR FOR THE DEDALE ATT DATABASE
Path flow data are required for a range of applications in the field of traffic control, for example in efficient signal control and congestion management. As path flows and turning movements are generally not directly measurable by vehicle detectors, an estimator is required. The MARGOT project is working with the LEADER project of Lyon, both within the LLAMD Consortium, to develop and test a path flow estimator. The output will be path flow data for the DEDALE database. Input data will be 6-minute traffic flow measurements from 72 counting stations in urban areas. (A) For the covering abstract see IRRD 868006.
