THE SOUTH TANGENT: FROM PILOT TO FINISH
DE ZUID-TANGENT: VAN PILOT NAAR UITVOERING
The South Tangent is the pilot high quality public transport line on the south of Amsterdam. Compared with the road infrastructure, which is already developed, public transport has remained undeveloped. In that area, however, important spatial developments have either already taken place or are still under construction. In the whole concept of a public transport network around Amsterdam, the South Tangent is a collection of express lines on a high quality infrastructure. Per day, almost 150.000 voyagers will use this transport corridor. It is expected that the South Tangent will be ready in 2010. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 862192.
