EFFECT OF PAINT ROUGHNESS ON THE SKIN FRICTION OF SHIPS
The effect of paint roughness on skin friction was studied experimentally by the floating element technique. Measured effects on the shear stress and boundary layer velocities were incorporated in the computation of the flow over a rough ship hull.
