COST EFFECTIVE BRIDGE DECK REHABILITATION/REPLACEMENT. FINAL REPORT
This project addresses the methodology and parameters utilized to make informed decisions on bridge deck rehabilitation or replacement. Included are reviews of the current PennDOT policy and practice. Additionally, data from outside sources, neighboring states, vendors, etc., were compiled for inclusion. District Bridge Engineers provided local input. The end product is a revised policy which focuses on cost effective aspects and allows for selection of alternatives based on level of service. The report covers the primary parameters and background for policy development. The proposed policy is included as Appendix A.
