TRAFFIC MONITORING REPORT 1991

The objectives of this report are to provide an indication of the 1991 traffic patterns in the county, and to compare these both with past trends, and, where possible, with national statistics. The scope, objectives, and availability of traffic data collected by the Transportation Planning Team are also presented. Data are provided on: a) rural traffic growth; b) route specific traffic flow trends; c) flow/capacity ratios; d) urban traffic growth; e) screen line growth; f) growth in volume of various sizes of heavy goods vehicles; and g) seasonal and daily variations in traffic growth broken down by road type.
