SEISMIC DESIGN OF MAINE BRIDGES. FINAL REPORT
The report includes literature review in the areas of seismology, past performance of bridges under seismic events, current bridge design philosophy, seismic isolation, and different types of seismic analyses. Earthquake hazards in New England in general and Maine in particular are addressed. The design criteria as specified in AASHTO Guide Specifications for Seismic Design of Highway Bridges is summarized and a brief description of the computer program SEUSAB is given.
