SUBJECTIVE RESPONSE TO FORE-AND-AFT VEHICLE VIBRATION
An evaluation of psychological response to multi-frequency, damped fore-and-aft vibration was conducted. The method employed a table upon which the subject sat and vibrations resulting from stepping on an accelerator were transmitted horizontally through the table by an exciter. Through the experiment, the relation between the frequency spectrum, the vibration damping coefficients and human subjective response was clarified, and a quantitative evaluation method involving these relationships was realized.
