IMPROVEMENT OF THE ORGANIZATION OF BUS DISTRIBUTION IN URBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT

UNAPREDJENJE ORGANIZACIJE RASPOREDJIVANJA AUTOBUSA U JAVNOM GRADSKOM PRIJEVOZU

Within the scope of mathematical modelling of the need of bus distribution in urban public transport, heuristic methods have been developed with the aim of minimizing the number of vehicles. The article presents an efficient algorithm tested in real conditions of urban public transport in split, which minimizes the operational costs and costs of acquiring new vehicles. It respects the majority of operational limitations which can appear in practice and is suitable for computer use. (TRRL)
