RURAL ELECTRIC POWER QUALITY ANALYSIS - DATA BASE DEVELOPMENT. FINAL REPORT
The actual cost of poor quality electric power is difficult to accurately determine. Such cost informatin is important in determining the extent to which power quality enhancement techniques should be applied. This report presents data compiled to help determine the quantity and type of electrical and electronic equipment at risk in rural Alaska and repair frequency of this equipment. Cost attributalbe to poor electric power quality are identified. Methods of electric power quality improvement and their relative costs are presented.
