PEER-EDUCATION TEACHES MINNESOTA TEENAGERS THE CONTROL FACTOR IN DRINKING AND DRIVING
In 1981, the Minnesota Safety Council undertook the development of a youth drinking and driving program which came to be known as the Control Factor program. The program involves the training of high school upperclassmen to become instructors of younger students on individual control in drinking and driving situations. This article reviews the development of the program, the actual presentation of the program, and the payoffs that have been realized to date.
