Using aluminium allows fossil energy savings and reductions in operating costs for vehicles, be they private cars, railway rolling stock, lorries or various transport installations. Progress already achieved in the construction of light vehicles for the urban metros and regional express networks should be accompanied by technological developments in materials and treatment of materials.
