TECHNICAL PROBLEMS CONCERNING HIGH-SPEED TRANSPORT

TECHNISCHE PROBLEME DES SCHNELLVERKEHRS

Based on the operating programme, and the problems of high-speed rail transport, details are shown of high-speed passenger coaches, and goods wagons. Solutions to tractive and braking problems are then discussed. Details are also shown of the effects of high-speeds on the layout, and deformation, of the track. Based on the terms "dependability" and "security", a description is given of a data-processing system. Finally, the authors deal with the necessity of research and development.
