THREE-PART ELECTRIC MULTIPLE-UNIT TRAIN TYPE JZ 411/415 FOR THE YUGOSLAV RAILROAD SYSTEMS
DREITEILIGER ELEKTRISCHER TRIEBZUG JZ 411/415 FUER DIE JUGOSLAWISCHEN BAHNVERWALTUNGEN
Three car thyristor controlled electric multiple units were developed in Hungary for 25 kv/50 cps with a maximum speed of 120 km/h which are suitable for rapid transit as well as for long distance traffic. The train consists of two driving trailers and one motor coach situated in the middle of the train. The complete electric power transmission has been installed underneath the floor in the motor coach. The four compound excitated undulating current traction motors are supplied by a half-controlled sequence controlled thyristor converter. The electric multiple unit has speed regulation, tractive and braking regulation, and automatic field weakening. It is equipped with an electric rheostat brake. Of the 46 electric multiple units delivered until 1979, 34 are carried out uniformly with second-class accommodation and 12 with increased comfort with first-class accommodation including bar, rotating seats, color TV, etc.
