DEVELOPING CONSUMABLES AND PROCESSES FOR WORK ON OFFSHORE PLATFORMS

This paper examines some of the developments, which are taking place to improve weld metal toughness and hence allow a relaxation in stress relief treatments, and to introduce higher deposition rate processes to an increasing proportion of the total welding of the offshore structures.
