Analysis on the Dynamic Performance of a High-Speed Train Running on Different Types of Ballastless Track Structures
Based on the theory of vehicle-track coupled dynamics, this paper used vehicle-track coupled dynamic models to simulate the dynamic performance of CRH3 (China Railway Highspeed Series Type 3) high-speed train running on different types of CRTS (China Railway Track System) series ballastless tracks. Straight line and curve running conditions were chosen for simulation, and power spectrum density of ballastless track irregularities of high-speed railway was applied as the excitation input of the vehicle-track coupled system. The simulation results indicate that CRH3 high-speed train shows excellent dynamic performance while running on CRTS-I slab track, CRTS-II slab track, CRTS-III slab track and double-block track. The running smoothness and safety indices increase as the vehicle speed increases, and there are sufficient margins before these indices reach the limits. There exists a suitable speed which alleviates the lateral interaction between wheel and rail when vehicle passes a certain radius curve. In general, dynamic performance of CRH3 high-speed train does not have obvious differences due to different types of ballastless tracks.
