'The Honest Truth' Process Evaluation
The Honest Truth (THT) project is designed to communicate safety messages to drivers aged 17-24. Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) in the UK use THT educational resources to inform students on eight key topics including: distraction, tiredness, speed, drink and drugs, seatbelts, showing off, and mobile phones. This report presents an overview of THT, its aims, goals, and objectives and assesses the implementation of THT. A focus group was carried out with the student drivers and interviews conducted with the ADIs and the drivers' parents. Questions related to how THT was perceived, whether THT was reaching the target group, and if behaviors changed because of THT.
