EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON CARBONATION PHENOMENA AND CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF STEEL BAR IN CONCRETE MIXED WITH SEAWATER

練混ぜ水として海水を用いたコンクリートの中性化現象と内部鉄筋の腐食挙動に関する実験的検討

According to the report of FAO(Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations), two-thirds of world population will face shortage of fresh water in 2025, and it is required to save the usage of fresh water for any industrial department. Reflecting this social problem, in order to save fresh water knowledge about the utilization of concrete mixed with seawater is required for concrete industry. In this thesis, the durability of concrete mixed with seawater and reinforced with steel bar against carbonation was evaluated by carbonation rate coefficient, distribution of Cl and corrosion behavior of steel bar using electrochemical measurement and visual observation methods. In the results, below results were revealed. When to use seawater as mixing water of concrete, carbonation rate of concrete mixed with seawater was almost the same as carbonation rate of concrete mixed with fresh water, concentration of internal chloride atom into the front part of carbonation depth occurred due to carbonation, and steel bar corrodes when carbonation depth reaches the covering depth of steel bar. According to these results, at the case of using seawater as mixing water of concrete the possibility of saving corrosion of steel bar embedding steel bar in the deep area of concrete was suggested.国連食糧農業機関の報告によると2025年に世界人口の約2/3が淡水不足の危機に陥るとされ、淡水の節制が求められており、建設分野においても関連する検討が必要である。本研究では、上記の一環として、練混ぜ水として海水を用いたコンクリート(海水練りコンクリート)の中性化に対する耐久性を、中性化速度係数、塩素元素分布、目視観察と電気化学的計測による鉄筋の腐食挙動の観点から評価した。その結果、海水練りの場合、①淡水練りと同程度の中性化速度となること、②中性化による塩化物イオンの濃縮が起きること、③中性化領域が鉄筋位置に到達した時点で鉄筋腐食が生じることが確認された。
