Development of Automated Multiple Objects Measurement Car Advancement of Inspection Work On Expressway Radio Communication Systems
A new type of “Automated Multiple Objects Measurement Car” was developed, hereafter called “AMOMeC”, to check 7 electrical objects automatically and simultaneously. They are the following 5 kinds of electric field strength and 2 kinds of road lighting coefficient: Electric Toll Collection system, hereafter called “ETC”; Road management radio communication system; Intelligent Transportation System spot service, for instance, new VICS and VICS, which represents Vehicle Information and Communication System; Highway Information Radio Broadcasting system; Radio Broadcasting Transmission Service system in tunnels; and Luminance and illumination intensity in tunnels. Measurement of them was tried out in the whole business area of east part of Japan. Conditions of ETC radio wave were especially inspected in all lanes where ETC system was introduced. Results of the inspections were far more excellent than expected. This paper reports development and effectiveness of “AMOMeC”.
