Development and Field-Testing of an Image Sensor System with Existing Cameras
In this study, the authors developed an Image Sensor System that enabled continuous acquisition of real-time data on vehicle traffic volume and driving speed at low initial cost by employing a Spatio-Temporal Markov Random Field (MRF) model to utilize the images of existing roadside surveillance cameras, security cameras, and other facilities.
