Validation of the Assistance Method for Improving Lane Change Maneuver by Using Highly Realistic Driving Simulator

現実感の高いドライビングシミュレータを用いた車線変更行動改善支援手法の有効性検証

Many inexperienced drivers are not good at changing lanes and there are not enough educational opportunities for lane change maneuver. Therefore, the assistance method for improving lane change maneuver of inexperienced drivers has been developed in the authors' laboratory to enhance their driving skill and awareness for safe driving. As a part of this research project, here the authors present the utility of this developed assistance method by driving simulator which enables them to emulate actual driving circumstance.筆者らは，ドライバの安全運転に対する意識や運転技術の向上を目的として運転未熟者を対象にドライビングシミュレータを用いた車線変更行動評価・改善支援手法の開発を行ってきた．今回この手法の有効性を，実路走行環境を忠実に再現可能なトヨタ自動車株式会社のドライビングシミュレータを用いて検証したので報告する．
