Area Computation of the Operation Section in Logistics Park
The area of the operation section applies to the summation of the land use for the various logistics activities in the logistics park. The computation of this index has come to be an important item in the logistics park planning during the continuous development in the construction of the logistics park. The previous research in logistics park land use planning mostly concerned the prediction of freight demand of the logistics park, but few studies concentrate on the topic of how to convert the demand to the calculation of the land area, and the transfer method in the present literature tends to be subjective and simple. This paper decomposes the logistics operation area into some function sections, uses the convert coefficient that was gained from the experience data in kinds of industries, calculates the area of different function sections by means of space-time consumption method with the assumption of the logistics demand of the logistics park that is given, then collects to get the whole area. This paper focuses on the computation of logistics park operation area, puts forward a new method to calculate the logistics park land scale, offers the reference for the decision of logistics planning, and hopes to be widely used in practice.
