Calculation Method of Deformation and Inner Force of a Sheet Pile Wall with Relieving Platform
Sheet pile with relieving platform is a new type of retaining structure that has been successfully used for reinforcing slopes in Shenzhen city, China. The stress and deformation of sheet pile with relieving platform are very complex owing to the existence of the relieving platform. In this paper, the authors divide the sheet pile with relieving platform into a loaded segment and an anchored segment and develop a numerical model to calculate the inner force and deformation of the sheet pile with relieving platform. Finally, the authors use the finite element method (FEM) model and fielding monitoring data to investigate the effectiveness of the newly developed calculation model.
