Image-based Bus Driving Assistance System
In Taiwan, without keeping the safe driving distance, speeding, blind spots and lane departure are the principle causes of car accidents recently. This research demonstrates the experimental results of equipping an image-based bus driving assistance system and an on-board unit on highway buses which help drivers and managers manage the safety of driving. The results show that using the system can reduce the probability of car accidents and promote the safety of driving indeed.
