Carrier Phase Differential GPS and INS for Snowplow Guidance
An alternative roadway-relative vehicle position sensor is developed and demonstrated for snow plows using differential carrier phase Global Positioning System (DCPGPS) and inertial measurements. It has the benefit of requiring significantly fewer changes to the roadway infrastructure relative to a magnetometer only approach, thereby decreasing the installation and maintenance costs.
