Traffic control devices; a practical reorganization of the Australian standard
Proposed changes to the Australian Standard for traffic control devices (AS 1742) are described. The Standards Association (SAA) plans to issue a standard in several parts, each of which would be self contained and related to a specific situation, traffic problem or user group, and would contain the relevant information provided in parts 1 and 2 of the existing standard. SAA hopes the completion of this publication will be a major step towards a national standard for traffic control devices.
