The fatigue behaviour appreciation using rut depth for asphalt mixtures from wearing course
It is necessary to look for a mix design, which enables the material to be laid while giving it the required properties for durability and stability. In practice, we are looking for a compromise between the requirements for fatigue cracking resistance and those for flow rutting resistance. The problem may be solved by establishing a correlation between various parameters obtained from specific tests on material. In this paper, experimental results from fatigue test performed on asphalt mixture trapezoidal samples correlated with experimental results from Wheel Tracking Test are presented.
