SIPA – SECURE IP APPLICATIONS

IP networks becomes more and more the communications technology of choice, also for critical and secure communication, even of safety relevant systems like interlocking systems. In order to provide an equivalent level of security and integrity as a prerequisite for the safety of connected systems a number of technologies need to be combined – summarized by "telent" under the name SIPA concept, able to replace proprietary transmission and security systems. Complementary to the technological questions the processes of development and implementation, operation and maintenance of an communications infrastructure for security critical applications has to be considered
