Dynamic Parameters Identification for Xi'an Bell Tower under Ambient Excitation
In order to inspect the influence of micro-vibration excited by vehicles on the timber structure of Xi'an Bell Tower, a consecutive 24 hours (one cycle) dynamic response test had been carried out. The dynamic parameters (frequencies and dampings) are identified with the monitored signals in this paper. The free vibration responses of the measured signals are obtained by Random Decrement Method. On this basis, dynamic parameters of the Bell Tower within traffic vibration amplitude by ITD (Ibrahim Time Domain) technique are obtained for the first time. The results suggest that the difference of each order frequency in SN and EW directions is small.
