Road accident site treatment - an efficient road infrastructure safety steering tool
Reseni nehodovych lokalit - efektivni nastroj rizeni bezpecnosti silnicni infrastruktury
High risk site treatment, using road safety infrastructure management, results from the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on road infrastructure safety management (200B/96/ES). Principles of high risk site identification and proposal of treatment measure have been used in the Czech Republic already. However, they are not used systematically on the whole road network. The Directive, which should be implemented up to 2012, presents these procedures and stresses their effectivity. Specific example shows the process of high risk site identification and treatment, following the Directive's principles.
