Elektro-Mobilitaet - auch auf dem Land? / Electric mobility - Also in the country?

E-Mobilitaet wird meistens im staedtischen Kontext diskutiert. Das gilt auch fuer die Modellregionen des Nationalen Entwicklungsplans Elektromobilitaet. Dabei sind die Bedingungen fuer E-Mobilitaet auf dem Land zwar anders aber nicht schlechter als in der Stadt. E-Mobilitaet bedeutet mehr als den Ersatz des fossilen Autos durch das E-Auto; E-Autos sind naemlich keine Allzweck-Autos. Nachhaltige E-Mobilitaet erfordert die Abkehr von Autoorientierter Mobilitaet - und das ist auf dem Land schwieriger als in der Stadt. Andererseits gibt es auf dem Land viel mehr Zweitwagen und Garagen, was den Einstieg in E-Mobilitaet erleichtert. Erfolgreiche laendliche Modellregionen sind Vorarlberg und Kaernten. Engpass ist zurzeit der Automarkt. Pedelecs dagegen werden ausreichend angeboten und gekauft. Wichtig in der Einstiegsphase sind Anreize fuer E-Mobilitaet. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: E-mobility is mostly discussed in an urban context. This also applies to the model regions of the German National Development Plan on E-Mobility. At the same time, the conditions for e-mobility in the country are different, but not worse than in the city. E-mobility encompasses more than just to replace the fossil car by the e-car, since e-cars are not all-purpose cars. Sustainable e-mobility requires giving up our car-oriented mobility - and that is more difficult in the country than in the city. On the other hand, in the country there are much more second cars in a household and more garages, which makes the start into e-mobility easier. Successful rural model regions are Vorarlberg and Carinthia. The bottleneck, at the moment, is the car market. Pedelecs, on the other side, are supplied and bought in good numbers. Incentives for e-mobility are important in the starting phase. (A)
