EXPERIMENTAL STUDY FOR OPTIMUM MIX DESIGN IN DRY MIX COARSE AGGREGATE SHOTCRETE (PART 2) /IN JAPANESE/
SIX PARAMETERS OF THE MIX WERE VARIED IN THREE MIX DESIGNS FOR TUNNEL SUPPORT TO ASCERTAIN THE EFFECTS ON COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND REBOUND. TWENTY-SEVEN PROPORTIONINGS WERE USED. SAND GRADING WAS FOUND TO HAVE THE GREATEST EFFECT ON COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH: THE COARSER THE SAND, THE HIGHER THE STRENGTH INCREASES. ACCELERATOR AND CEMENT CONTENT ALSO EXERT INFLUENCE, BUT SAND--AGGREGATE RATIO HAD LITTLE EFFECT. FOR ALL SPECIMENS, THE AVERAGE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH WAS 187 KG/SQ CM. THE SAME EFFECT OF SAND GRADING WAS OBSERVED WITH RESPECT TO REBOUND. SAND--AGGREGATE RATIO, WATER CONTENT, AND CEMENT ALSO PLAYED A ROLE. THE AVERAGE PERCENTAGE OF REBOUND WAS 32.4.
