LABORATORY STUDY OF RUBBLE FOUNDATIONS FOR VERTICAL BREAKWATERS

Laboratory tests were conducted to determine the stability characteristics of pell-mell rubble of sensibly uniform shape and size, used as a foundation or toe protection for the vertical super-structure of a composite breakwater. Data are presented for the design of such breakwater foundations.
