OVERALL AND LOCAL BUCKLING OF CHANNEL COLUMNS
A GENERAL METHOD IS PRESENTED TO ACCOUNT FOR BOTH OVER-ALL AND LOCAL BUCKLING OF THIN-WALLED CHANNEL COLUMNS. THE MATRIX TRANSFER METHOD IS USED TO OBTAIN THE BUCKLING CRITERIA AND THE BUCKLING LOAD COMPUTED NUMERICALLY. THREE SETS OF TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT TO COMPARE WITH THE THEORETICAL COMPUTATIONS. /ASCE/
