AUTOMATIC NAVIGATION AND CONTROL
This research program covers the entire range of modern automatic navigation and control, and is supported by the Department of Defense under Project THEMIS. The purpose of this program is to develop a center of excellence in research and graduate education in the area of automatic navigation and control. The major areas of current research activities are inertial/nav-sat navigation systems, optimization of integrated navigation systems, nonlinear and optimal control systems analysis, random process and estimation theory and applications, and digital filter analysis and applications.
