Mobilitaetsverhalten im Tourismus: Methodenstudie zur Erfassung des Mobilitaetsverhaltens von Touristen am Aufenthaltsort / Mobility behaviour in tourism: Empirical study to record the mobility behaviour of tourists in a destination

Empirische Forschung zum Thema Tourismus und Mobilitaet ist dringend erforderlich, um einen Beitrag zur nachhaltigen Bewaeltigung des (touristischen) Verkehrs zu ermoeglichen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird aufbauend auf einer Pruefung der bekannten Informationsquellen im Tourismus und Verkehr bezueglich ihrer Nutzbarkeit fuer Aussagen zum Mobilitaetsverhalten von Touristen ein methodischer Ansatz zur Erfassung des touristischen Mobilitaetsverhaltens im Zielgebiet entwickelt und in einem Feldversuch getestet. So koennen unter anderem Aussagen zu den bisher in der Forschung nur vereinzelt zu findenden Mobilitaetsindikatoren von Touristen vor Ort getaetigt werden. lm Ergebnis wird deutlich, dass es mit der Durchfuehrung solcher Erhebungen moeglich ist, Daten sowohl zum Mobilitaets- als auch zum allgemeinen Reiseverhalten von Touristen im Zielgebiet zu erheben, die fuer Massnahmen der Verkehrsplanung oder -politik nutzbar sind. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Empirical research relating to tourism and mobility is urgently needed to provide a contribution to a sustainable coping strategy with the tourist traffic. The article develops a method to record the mobility behaviour of the tourists in a destination. The method has been tested in a field test and is based on an examination of well-known sources of information in tourism and traffic regarding their usability. Thus, statements about the still sporadic existing indicators of the mobility of tourists on site can be done. The results show that this method enables to collect data on the mobility and travel behaviour of tourists in their destinations and to use these data in traffic engineering or traffic politics to take subsequent measures.
