EVALUATION OF THE MODEL 4 GEODIMETER
DATA OBTAINED FROM THE OPERATION OF NINE MODEL 4 GEODIMETERS BY THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS ARE EVALUATED AS TO USES, REPEATABILITY AND ACCURACY OF MEASUREMENTS, RELIABILITY, OPERATIONAL METHODS, COMPUTATIONS , MAINTENANCE, PERSONNEL TRAINING, AND DAYLIGHT OPERATION. THE GEODIMETER IS USED TO SAVE COST IN CONTROL SURVEYS AS A DISTANCE MEASURING INSTRUMENT.
